Lassen County Federal Credit Unions CardNav & Mobile App Privacy Notice

Our app periodically collects, transmits, and uses geolocation information to enable features that prevent fraudulent card use and alerts, but only if you expressly authorize collections of such information.  You may choose whether geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background, only while the app is being used, or not at all.  You can change your location permissions at any time in your device settings.  We maintain strong security controls to safeguard the privacy and accuracy of communications and transactions, to protect our members' confidentiality.

NOTICE

FUNDS AVAILABILITY POLICY - CHANGE IN TERMS

Our Funds Availability Policy for check holds will change in the following beneficial way:

Benefit Before Effective July 1, 2020
Deposits not subject to next-day availablity $200 $225
Large deposits and new accounts not subject to next day availability $5,000 $5,525

Additionally, the threshold for determining a repeat overdraft will increase from $5,000 to $5,525.

FAIR LENDING NOTICE

It is illegal to discriminate in the provision of or in the availability of financial assistance for the purpose of purchasing, constructing, rehabilitating, improving, or refinancing housing accommodations due, in whole or in part, to the consideration of:

  1. Conditions, characteristics or trends in the neighborhood or geographic area surrounding a housing accommodation, unless the financial institution can demonstrate that consideration of these conditions in the particular case is required to avoid an unsafe and unsound business practice; or;
     
  2. Race, color, religion, sex, martial status, national origin or ancestry. It is illegal to consider the racial, ethnic, religious or national origin composition of a neighborhood or geographic area surrounding a housing accommodation or whether or not such composition is undergoing change, or is expected to undergo change, in appraising a housing accommodation or in determining whether or not, or under what terms and conditions, to provide financial assistance for the purpose of purchasing, constructing, rehabilitating, improving, or refinancing a housing accommodation. These provisions govern financial assistance for the purpose of the purchase, construction, rehabilitation or refinancing of one-to four-unit family residences occupied by the owner and for the purpose of the home improvement of any one-to four-unit family residence. If you file a complaint with the National Credit Union Administration, California State law requires that you receive a decision within 30 days of receipt of the complaint.

Become a Member

Joining Lassen County Federal Credit Union is easy.

You are eligible for membership if you:

  • Live, work, or worship in Lassen County
  • Are related to a current member of Lassen County Federal Credit Union

If you are eligible for membership, come in and meet with a Member Service Representative to complete your application and open your member Base Share Account.

You will need to make an initial deposit into your Member Share Savings Account of $25. In addition, there is a one-time membership fee of $1.

Please Bring:

Your unexpired drivers license or another valid United States government-issued photo ID (United States Passport, state-issued ID Card, military ID card), and cash or check for at least $26 payable to you or Lassen County Federal Credit Union. You may be required to show proof of membership eligibility by providing us with documents such as proof of address or employment within Lassen County.
