e-Alerts

Keep yourself informed and updated on all your accounts. e-Alerts allow you to receive an email or a text when your account drops below a certain amount, a deposit or a withdrawal has been made, a share draft or card purchase has cleared your account, or even when a loan payment has been applied.

It's simple! After logging into Online Banking, under the heading “Services”, select “Manage e-Alerts”, select “Add” to begin.

Creating an E-Alert

To create an e-Alert:

  1. Select the account suffix you would like to monitor.
  2. Select the type of alert you want to receive
  3. Select the comparison and a numeric value which will trigger your e-Alert notification.
  4. Select the email address you want to receive your e-Alert notification.
  5. Select Submit.

e-Alerts will be sent automatically with the message “You have an e-Alert!” from Lassen County Federal Credit Union. You may add or delete an e-Alert at any time.

Protecting Your VISA Debit Card

Protecting your Visa® debit or credit card from fraud requires monitoring 24/7/365 days a year. Our fraud detection program consistently monitors your card activity for anything suspicious. If potentially fraudulent transactions are taking place, we will contact you immediately so that future fraudulent transactions can be avoided.

What we monitor:

Your card transactions are monitored for purchases outside your normal purchasing patterns, unusual timeframes, geographical locations, and purchase patterns that are consistent with previously identified fraud trends.

How we contact you:

Getting in contact with you quickly is critical to stopping any potential card fraud.  86% of Americans have a mobile device. This offers a convenient and free* method to get in contact with you quickly. With our Card Alert Notification service, you will receive a text message asking you to confirm if a suspicious transaction was authorized by you. If a mobile phone number is not available, a recorded message will be placed on your landline phone.

Receiving a text message:

  1. The text message will arrive from a 5 digit code (869-75) and contain our financial institution name, case number, dollar amount of the transaction, and merchant name.
  2. You will be asked to reply with “YES” if you authorized the transaction. You will receive a confirming text message and can continue to use your card with confidence.
  3. A “NO” reply means you have not authorized the transaction.  You will receive a confirming text message and you will be contacted immediately by a Fraud Specialist to protect your account. Please answer this important call.
  4. Do not reply to the text message with any personal or confidential card information.
  5. If you would like to opt-out of receiving these important messages by text, you may reply with STOP to indicate this preference
